Finally uploading some more recent cakes!
My camera has kicked the bucket and these are all taken with my iPhone so I apologize for the slightly grainy quality! It has taken me awhile to get these posted but the dinosaur I did last weekend just had to be posted so all of these are going up!

Last Cakes of 2009!
I've been in the process of packing, moving, unpacking, painting, building and installing and now have time to post the last few cakes I made before we rang in 2010! (Please forgive the phone camera quality, my regular camera was packed somewhere unknown.) I had two large cakes to make while staying with two of the greatest people on the planet Jess and Pat and waiting for a closing date on my house. It is hard not having your own kitchen to make a mess but they were good sports and dealt with me cursing cake very well :) I've got my first cake order lined up for this weekend...let the 2010 cake line-up begin!
Fondant covered with three flavors - chocolate, red velvet and marble. Everything was made out of fondant except the cards. I planned to make them out of gum paste but by the time 2:00 am hit, my arms were so tired that the real cards looked much cleaner. The "A" and "C" on the poker chips stand for Chris and Amanda, the happy couple.
Vanilla Buttercream with "funfetti" style cake on top and chocolate with chocolate buttercream filling on bottom. Ducks are made of fondant.
"Mom's" best wedding cake icing with chocolate cake and sculpted fondant details.
